The Counoil met in regular session at 7:30 P. M. thi8xdate. Present. Mayor Wiley,
Councilmen Applewhite, Carson, Crandall, Delsman, Kooser, ayler. .Absent' None.
The minutes of 'the previous meeting were read and approved as read. '
The annual report of the City Recorder for the yeer 1939 ..... read, acoepted and
ordered placed on file.
The monthly report ot the City Judge was read, ac oepted and ordered placed on tile.
Bills amounting to tll, 772.52 were read as to total amount only, same having been
oked by the various departments, committees and finance oommi. ttee am _re ordered paid.

on the Plaza owned by F.ed Tayler by W. P. A. workers .s brought up and disoussed.
The Mission building on 4th Btree't and its return to 'the donors _8 disoussed.
Fred :Layler operator ot the Plaza Cate aaked'that his rate be adjus'bed for light
and power.' He .ta:ted that he operated .. total. of 26 motors and _8 paying 1Di?\1mt~f1l raws
for two meters whioh were in use. He asked that he be required to pq 'the minimum. rate
on only one meter. Following disoussion,i t was moved by Crandall and seoonded by Car-

Garbege.
Upon motion by Koozer, seconded De18mEll# Van Curler _, S g,,~ the oontraot at
t15000 per month to haul garbage fro. City garbage can.,,".... ,"'-paying f15.00 per
month for the garbage franchise. Oarried.
It was reported' that Lawrence Wil son wanted to wash gold ore up Ashland oreek
on a percentage basis but it was thought that it would be esta.bli8hing a bad precedent
and 80 was not .approved.
The seepage water problem baok ot Pioneer Avenutt was discussed further. 11; ....
thougbt that to abate the nuisanoe at the hole in rear ot the Palace Cafe might solve
the problem.
Upon motion by Crandall, seconded by Carson the interest and penalties against
the F. F. Wells properiiy on Meade Street consisting of lo'ts 7 &: 8, of Blook 49 of
Sunnit Addition were waived formally. Deoision had been made to do 80 April 25.. 1938
but never fornally made.
On motion the Counoil adjourned to meet at the oall of the Mayora
