Absents COWlcilman Delsman, .. oame in later during the .assion. The monthly report of the City Judge for May was read, accepted and ordered placed on tile. The following application for a building permit was presented: No. 22. To erect dwelling at corher ot Palm Avenue and Wisocmsin Street at an approximate cos~ of $2500.00 by W. W. Robison. Upon motion by Tayler, seconded by Applewhite, the City Attorney _s .instruoted to prepare a resolution waiving the City's rights in delinquent taxes and interest on the Emerick Stre et property which was being given to the High School by the owner s. The Day-Light Savings petition ftS read am discussed. It was moved by Tayler and seconded by Carson that the City go on record as favoring the day-light savings plan for the Pacif'i 0 Coast States. RollXcall was ordered on the motion and the vote was as tollows. Ayes. Crandall, Carson, ayler. Nays. Koozer.. Applewhite. CaITied. Councilman Delsman came in at this time and took his seat at the oounoil table. Real ty. Hospi tall Crandall reported that it was not neoes sary to insjall bed pan washers, these being not required in o-ther heapi tala, but 'that all necessary require- ments would be met. Repurs to the building, tl>umb~, shingle-s, and painting were reported needed. Upon motion by Crandall, seoonded by)elsllian., the plumbing repairs were authorized to be done and the total 008t necessa~ to repair the building to be reported baok. Carried. Mr. 1. D. Westfall spoke oonoerning amending the fire craoker' ordinance perm! tting the use of caps and oap pistols and following some disoussion, it was moved by Delsm.a.1i and seconded by Carson that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare an amendment to the tire oracker ordinance so as to perm! t theuse of oap pistol s etc. Carried. Upon motion by Koozer" seconded by Crandall, the City Attcarney was instructed to prepare a tentative draft of an ordinanoe covering the opera~ion of the Golt Course. Carried. Upon motion by Koozer" seconded by Carson. notioe of intention to pave Laurel Street from North Main to Van Ness Avenue was autb.oriz~d. Carried. Committee Repor.ts. .. . Water. The reduction in irrigation rates from $12.50 per aore on a one year basis to $10.00 per acre~ whioh now applies only to those who sign up for 10 years. was con- sidered. It was moved by Applewhite and seconded by Koozer that the matter be referred baok to the Water Committee and City Attorney to study a.nd report baok. Carried. Fire. Upon motion by Tqler, the Water and Fire Committees 'Were invited to work to-getii'er in locating hydrants etc and that a deta.iled map of' water hydrants and pressures be made. Seoonded by Crandall. Carried. A lot 75xlOO feet across from the City Warehouse at the corner of First and .C" atreets being up for sale for 'taxes, it was moved by Delsman a.nd seconded by Cranda.ll that the City A'ttorney and C1 ty Sup't cont&ct the School Board. for 'the best deal tor the City to secure waiving of taxes and interest applicable to the School District on this property 0 F. H. Walker, Cla.re_. Lane and Guy Evans were appointed viewers for the Alida, 6th and Nob Hill curb and gutter distriots.
