Councilmen Carson. Delsman. The minutes or the previous meeting were read e.m.d approved as read. MOnthly bills amounting to $13,194.39 were read as to total amount only.. same having been oked by the various departments. comnd'ttees and finance committee and upon motion by Tayler.. seconded by Applewhite and following a a~animous roll call were o'rdere d paid. The following application for a building permit was presented. No. 52: ~o put in donner window at 993 Boulevard at an approximate cost of $150.00 by Elizabeth Leever. It was moved by Tayler and seconded by Koozer that the permit be granted. Carried. The following app11ca~ions for license renewal to the Oregpn Liquor Control Commission was approved by the council upon motion by Koozer. Seoonded by Crendel1 and carried. H. G. Travis, Elk's Clubjl Harris Grovery, A. E. Jordan.. Ple.%a Cafe. F. H. Pearson end Hick's Grocery. " The City Recorder was authorized to advise the County Clerk that the City of Ashland was not interested in oity properties referred to in letters dated Nov. 25. Nov. 28 and Dec. 2.. 1940. The letter concerning the Nob Hill lot was referred to the City Attorney for reply. Stop signs at the railroad crossings at Oak Street and East Main Street were discussed further. Upon motion by Crandall1 seoonded by Tayler, the City Superintendent was author- ized to call for bids for a 2 ton pick-up tor the Electric Department. C!-rried. Biegel, City Sup't reported that the last purchase of pipe had resulted in the saving of about $500.00 by taking advantage of original price quotations. The alley in rear of the Pioneer Bldg was referred to the street Department for action.
