The Council met in regular se88ion at TaSC P. M. thia date. Present I Aotiag-
Mayor Koozer.. Councilmen Applewhite, Crandall, Tayler. Absents Jlayor Wi1ey~ Council
men Carson, Woodell.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
Kr. R. I. Flaharty, President of the Chamber ot Commarce discussed the aew mill
further 8.l'td said the operator wanted to lease 40 to 50 acres of the air port l&Dd for
a drying yard.. It was moved by Crandall and aecoDded by Applewhite that the atter be
referred to the Realty Conmdttee with power to act. Carried.
!he proposed residential loning ortinanoe was utriduoed and a delegation.. ohiefly
from the proposed district, 118.8 present and. their protes'ts iadicated tha't the majority
were opposed to it. A general discussion and iaterpretation ot some ot the provisioJls
or the proposed ordinanoe oleared up most 01' the misundersteDding ooncerni.J1g it and
the delegation left with little apparent opposition. However, it was moved by Tayler
aad. aeco_ded by Crandall that action on the ordinance be deferred lmtil the majori'ty
of the owners were definitely in favor of it. Carried.
