The minutes of the previous meeting were read' aDd approved as read.
The monthly report or the City Judge was read.. acoepted and ordered/; placed on file.
Bill. amounting to .11,041.03 were read as to total amount only, 8ame having been
oked by the various departments, committees and finence oommi ttee and were ordered paid.
Leo. G. Devaney, Director ot the Oregon State Board of Aeronautios was present and
cp1ained the requirements lor an air port and considerable disoussion tollowed. It was
moved by Applewhite that the W. P. A. be oontaoted in connec'tion with the airport and
also to request the Oivil AeroDautlos engineer to come and investigate the proposed
looations. Sl"eonded by Woodell. Carried.
A oontraot with the Bellvie. Co-operative Water Assooiation whereby the City would
read their m.eters. collect 'Water rents and perform other business affairs for them wa_
read and a resolution authori&ing the contract was read the first time. It waa moved
by Applewhite that the rules be suspended and the resolution passed to the seoond read-
ing by title only. Seoonded by Woodell. Carried. Foll)wing the aeoond reading.. it 1I'8.S
moved by Applcrwhi te a nd seconded by Daugherty that the resolution be adopted as read
and tollo'W'ing a tmanimous roll oall. the Mayor declare d the resolution adopted.
Committee Reports. -
eemete1' An offer to compromise the Mason A. Doran case upon payment of $85.00
and one add! ional cemetery spaoe was discussed and the matter was referred to the
Cemete~ Committee with power to act on that basis.
Eleotricl The purohase of $2500.00 of oopper wire was approved upon mo~on by
Crandall.. seconded by Woodell ~, ~r.~J;1ed following a unanimous roll call.
Street. The raising of the ~tt~;near the stearns and Susie Allen building. waa
ordered upon motion by Applewhite, seconded bybWoodell and carried.
Cemeterys (Additional) It was deoided to bill all old cemetery acoo\mts again and
oolleotions made here possible. Uncollec1;ible acoounts to be ei tiler oharged oft or
transferred to inlctive aooounts.
Reporta were made from. the members ot the delegation who attended the League ot
Oregon Cities convention, Oregon Finance Officers Ass'n meeting and other meetiDgs held
at Eugene at the Same date.
The Ashland Ice & storage Company's water right and 1 ts purchase by the City .._

of $1,000.00 by John S. Eaton.
No. 26: To erect dwell ing near 165 "B- Street at an approximate oost or $1.000.00
by Ida E. Swingl e.
No. 27a: to repair house ani erect garage at 209 "1""'0 Street at an approximate
cost of tluO.OO by I. S. Hatfield.
No. 28, To erect dwelling at 110 Pennsylvania Avenue at an approximate cost of
$2vO.OO by Fred Boyd.
No. 291 To remodel 1lwelling at 787 Iowa Street at an approximate cost of .300.00
by Z. C. Bieg.1.
No. 30. To repair house and garage on Morse Avenue at an approximate cost of
1150.00 by Sohool Distriot No.5.
It was moved by Applewhite ahd seoonded by Crandall that the permits be granted.
Carried.
Upon JDOtlon by Applewhite. seconded by Woodell action on the letter from the
Chamber of Commerce conoerning finances was tabled until~ the next meeting.
