Tayler, Woodell. The minutes of -the previous meeting were read an! approved as read. No objeotors were present to pro'test agains1i the paving of portions of 6th s'treet and Laurel Street. the following applications tor building permits were presented. }lo. 611 To reshingle roof at 480 Palm Avenue at an approximate oost of' 1120.00 by W. W. Robison. No. 68a To remodel dwelling at 194 Meade Street at an approximate cost ot $200.00 by Clyde Hall. 'No. 59.1'0 erect new dwelling at oOlmer of Blvd. an4 Alida Streets at an approximate cost of #3200.00 by V. H. Chapman. lio. 60s To erect dwelling and garage a't 586 East Main Street at an approximate cost of $2.500.00 by C. E. Clark. :No. 611 To remodel dwelling at 39-4th Street at an approximate cos1# of .200000 by Jane Carl ton. It was moved by Kooaer and s eoonded by Applewhite that -the permits be granted. It was moved by Keozer and seoonded by Applewhite that the Mayor appoint a committee of three to study the Jiewbern proposition and to use the ir desoret1on as 1;0 whether to contac,~ other interests who might be inter.. ested in dry 10e and to submit a modified proposa1'~Newbern. Carried. the Reoorder 'lio aoknowledge reoeipt of' the letter and advise Newbern of the s'tudy being made. On motion by Crandall.. seoonded by Koozer.. 'lihe transfer of $661.35 from the aotive tom inaotive consumers aocounts .s approved. CIVied. The tree list for light and water users was read, SN1.8 having been reduced to only . nin. and 1 t was moved by Koozer and seoonded by Crandall that the list be approved 'to Deoember 31, 19"1.
