The Council met in special session at 7:30 P. M. this date. Present: Mayor Wiley,
Councilmen Applewhite" Crandall, Daugherty, Koozer, Tayler, Woodell. Absent: None
The purpose of the meeting was to hear a discussion on dry ice by HeIk-Y de Lotty
of U1:iah. Mr. De Lotty had been invited to come to Ashland for this pliLrpose. He was
a representative of a dry ice corporation near Ukiah. A very interesting discussion
followed. One important point was the cost of production of dry ice from wet gas. Mr.
Newbern had intimated that the produotion from wet ba.s was almost prohibiti-ve.. whereas
Mr. de Lotty stated that the cost of extracting the water was practically nil. Possib-
ility of the production of dry ice at As01and was discussed and Mr. de Lot~ agreed
tp present "tihe rruatter to his company upon his return. The City sending all available
data on analysis of the ,~ter, logs of the wells already sunk and graphs showing the
various depths at which gas was found.
On motion, the council adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor:
