The Council met in regular session at 7:30 P. M. this elate. Present: Mayor Wiley_
Councilmen Applewhite, Daugherty, Putman, Selby, Reifoni. Absent: Councilman Koozer.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read. and approved as reaci.
The Annual Report of the Mayor for the year 1943 was rea<< anci upon motion by
Applewhite.. seconcied by RedforQ, the report was accepted and ordered to be published.
Carried.
The Mayor announoed. the appointment of department heads for the new year.. 1944
whioh were as follows:

The appointment of the City Attorney was deferred.. ..
It was moved by Applewhite and seoonded by Putman that the appointments be
oonfirmed. Carried.
The Kayor then appointed the committees for the year:

The annual report of the Chief of Police was read by the Assistant Chief.
It was moved by Applewhite and seconded by Jutman that the report be acoepted
and plaoed on file.
Monthly reports of the Electric.. Street and Water Departments and City Recorder
were read.. accepted and ordered placed on file.
The following applications for build.ing permits were presented:
No.1. To erect garage at 666 Allison S~reet at an approximate oost of $200.00
by Edgar T. Spence.
No.2. To remodel house near East Main and Third street at an approximate cos~ of
$500.00 by Milas S. Galliher.
Moved by Daugherty and seconded by Applewhite that the permits be grantei. Carried..
The application of Lawrence H. South for a plckage store beer license endorsemen~
was approved upon motion by Applewhite.. seconded by Daugherty and carried.
On motion, the Counoil adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayorl
