Present: Mayor Wiley, Councilmen Applewhite, Daugherty~ Koozer, Putman, Redford, Selby. Absent: None. The minutes of the previerus meeting were read and approved as read. Monthly reports of the EI eetrle. Water and Street Deoartments and City Rec- order were read, accepted and ordered placed on file. The inves-tment of C1 ty fwds in U. S. The followinb applications for building permits were presented: No. 56: To erect and repair dwelling on Beach Street at an approximate cost of '2uO.00 by Ethel o. Mitchell. No. 57: To remodel 8~ore at 1221 Iowa Street at an approximate cost of $200.00 by D. N. Baird. No. 58: To erect refrigerator repair shop at 66-2nd Street at an approximate cost of $400.00 by W. D. Morgan. No. 59: To erect new dwelling on Oak Street. Lots 5& 6 Chitwood Tract at an approximate cost of $2,500.00 by T. P. Franco. No. 60: To erect garage and utility room at 905 Siskiyou Boulevard at an approx- imate oost of '3<aOO by O. C. Lapp. It )lIaS moved by Putman and seoonded by Redford that the parmi ts be granted. Carriad. The following requests for endorsements on applications for lioenses to the Oregon State Liquor Control Commdssion were presented: Mae E. Thody' s Grocery, H. G. Travis Greyhound Tavern and t.~e Reception Pool Hall. It was moved by Daugherty and seoonded by Selby that the endorsements be authorized. Carried. The police car ~ reported to be in very bad condition, and the purchase of a new car, if possible.7aisoussed. The abstract of votes having been received from the County Clerk covering the election held on November 7th, the Council resolved itself into a oanvassing board and prooeeded to canvas the election.
