RESOLU'I'ION No. 77-SY
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE Cill~VASS OF THE VOTE AT THE SPECIAL ELECTION
HELD IN AND FOR THE CITY OF ASHLAL'\ID, OREGON, OCTOBER 25, 1977.
l~1EP~AS, the City Council of the City of Ashland met on the
J/~day of November, 1977, at the City Hall of the said City and
proceeded to canvass the votes cast at the Special Election held in and
for said City of Ashland on the 25th day of October, 1977; and
WHEREAS, the said Council has canvassed the said vote and has
determined the number of votes cast for and against the measure appearing
on the Ballot at said Election and the number of votes which are void;
'BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the votes cast on the Charter Amendment
submitted to the voters by the City Council, the Ballot Title of which
'is:
"SHALL THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND BE A.TVIENDED BY .P\DDING
TO ARTICLE IX, SECTION 2 A NEW SUB-SECTION (e) MUNICIPAL
SWIMMING POOL BONDS - TO AUTHORIZE THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL
OBLIGATION BONDS NOT TO EXCEED $690,000.00 TO FINill~CE THE DESIGN,
CONSTRUCTION AND EQUIPING OF A MUNICIPAL SWIMMING POOL FACILITY
AL'JD RELATED STRUCTURES AND Il\1PROVEMEMTS?"

Ballots determined to be void () Votes
The majority of the votes cast upon said Amendment being not
in favor thereof, the Charter of the City of Ashland is hereby declared
not to be so amended.
The foregoing Resolution was fully and distincly read in
