The Cou~'cil met in a special session at 5:00 P. M. this date. Those present
were Mayor Wiley, Councilmen NosIer, Weitzel, Fischborn-s, and Merr,i,ll.

The Mayor appointed Biegel to act as Recorder due to the absence of Mr. Adams.
The City Attorney read 8. proposed ordina.nce crea.ting a hospital board, defining
the duties of the board, and tr~e period of office, It was moved by Merrill
and seconded by Fischborne tha.t the rules be suspended and the ordinance passed
to second reading by title only. Carried. After being read by title only, i "
it was moved by Fischborne, seconded by NosIer, that the ordinance by adopted.a/t' r?
Carried.
The proposed trip of the delegation to the Highway Commission relative to the
widening of Highway #99 through the City was discussed at length. It was
decided to ask that the Boulevard b, cut down on the center strip only. It
was moved by NosIer and seconded by Merrill that we ask the Highway Commission
to widen the Highway all the way through town and that they submit a plan to
the City Council.
Robert Dodge was present and requested the use of the city bulldozer for
leveling in the Shakesperian Theater if same would go through the door. Re-
quest gra.nted.
The Mayor appointed the following committee as a Hospit~l Board: P. R. Hardy,
Mildred Klum, I. R. Frideger, Harry Skerry, C. M. Litwiller, Roland Pafks, f/enrrE.1]c!e)..-s
It was moved by Fischborne and seconded by Merrill tha.t the appointments by
