The Counoil met in regular session at 7.30 P. M. this date. Presents Mayor Wiley
Counoilmen Daugherty. Fischborn. Merrill. Redford. Wei~ze1. Absent: Councilman NosIer.
The minutes of the previoys meeting were read and approved as read.
Monthly reports ot the E1eotrio and Water Departments were read. aocep'ted and
ordered placed on tile.
A letter fromG. H. Corcoran. 39-4th Street conoerning the use of the alley in
rear of 21-4th Street between 3rd am 4th Street by the Evergreen Bus Company for their
turn around. He protested its use by the bus and asked that SODthing be done about it.
It wa... referred to the City Suptt and Street Committee for investigation and report upon
motion by Fisohborn. seoonded by Weitzel aId oarried.
Emil Kroeger presented a petition for paving. curb and gutter on Rooe Street and
upon motion by Daugherty. seconded by Merrill. notice ot intention to oonstruc't same
was. authorized to be published. Carried. A previous petition hall asked for a ourbing
on one side only. this petition provided for curbs on both sides of the street.
Waters The City Sup't reported that the excavation work had been completed up the
oanyon and was now ready for the oontractors 'to take over.
Realty: Further discussion was held on smoke and soot from the sawdust burned by
the mills. Mayor Wiley reported on his investigations.

Sewers: In regard to sewers outside of the City in Bellview. their conneotion with
the City Sewer system. was authorized upon motion by Fisehborn. seconded by Daugherty
and carried.
An application for a Paokage Store Class "A" lioense by H" W. and Vida McCarley
was approved upon motion by Merrill. 83 corided by Fischborn and oarried.
