The Council met in regular session at 1:30 P. M. this date. Present! Mayor Wiley,
Councilmen Daugherty, Fischborn, 'Merrill, Redtord, Weitzel. Absent: Councilman NosIer.
Monthly reports of t he Electric, Wa tar DepaBtmen ts and Ci ty Reconder were read,
accepted and ordered placed on tile.
As there were several people in the audience, the Mayor asked if any one had any-
t..~ing that they would like to bring betore the council. A :Mr. Ross asked several quest-
ions ooncerning the Mosoleum and made several statements about it. A Mrs. Womack asked
why new street signs were not installed where there were none, since they were ve~ bad-
ly needed. Mr. Ross asked cOJllcerning the dangerous corner at Water and North Main
Streets, also it the bridges were inspected by the City Sup't and how orten and various
othex:, questions. '
-Mr. Bosshard reported on the costs of signs being oonsidered tor instal18tion at
either end of the City to advertise it. He stated that a Foster & Kleiser sign which
would be the property pf the company would be 9 by 24 feet and would oost $17040 per
month for a one paint per year maintenance contract or $21.10 per month for a two ppint
per year maintenanoe plan. Other plans were for the outright purahase of signs to be
oonstructed and maintained for $520.00 and others small in size for $320.00 and neon
signs for $620.00, 8 by 20 feet in size. On motion by Fischborn, seconded by Weitzel,
the matter was referred to the Finanoe Committee for report. Carried.
Mrs. Franco at 170 Oak Street stated that a dead tree was on the park row in front
of their house and asked whose responsibili'Cy it was to have it removed. She was inform-
ed that the park ..ow belonged to the city and that the 01 ty would remove the treeo
Mrs. Arthur on Walnut Street protested about the light pkles being placed on pro-
perty near or on her property. The need for a survey of ~he property line was disvusaedo

parking meters on Holidays. Upon motion by ~itzel, seoonded by RedfordA~e.observance
of all luUidays on all parking ~&;y, be enf'oroed~all these daySJ'Would grant
free parking to all oonoerned.
