The Council met in regular session at 7:30 P. M. this date. Present: I~yor,Wiley,
Councilmen Daugherty, Fischborn, Merrill, Nosier, Redford, Weitzel. Absent. None
Minutes of the previous mweting were read and approved as read.
Monthly reports of the Electric and Water Departments and City Recorder were read,
accepted and ordered placed on file.
Endorsements on applications of O. L. Fox and Hamby's Drive in Market to the
Oregon State Liquor Control Commission for licenses were approved.
The City Attorney reported that he would like to tirn the money for the Butler
Estate for the band shell over to the City for disbursement and upon motion by Weitzel,
seconded by Fischborn, the request was granted.
A letter from G. M. Green oonoerning his property on Fork Street where he was con-
templating building so;:ne houses was read and discussed. The oost of tl'! necessary work
was estimated around .~2.000.00. On motion by Redford, seconded by Merrill, the matter
was referred to tile Street Comnittee, the City Sup't and Mr. Green for consideration
and report.
The granting of longer leases to the Riohard Reynen and the John Cotton mills was
brought up by the CitJr Attorney and 10 and 20 year leases were suggested. Following some
disoussion, it was mmved by Fischbor.n and seconded by Weitzel that the matter be referred
to the Realty Committee 6RF report. Carried.
Bids on a new police/were received and read as follows:
Motor Inn: Kaiser delux 4 door sedan, 1949 $2,525.45 less trade in $1,750.00-775.45

On motion made and seconded and following a unanimous roll call, the bid of the
Busoh Motor Co. for a net price of $215.55 was aoceptEd provided it 'Was an 8 oYl'linder
oar and the radio on the old oar was transfered to the new one..
On motion$ the Counoil adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor:
