required by the City of Ashland. and agree to bear the proportionate payment of associated costs. This Agreement is
to be binding upon myself/ourselves, my/our heir(s). executors. and assigns. and it is my/our express intention that
this Agreement shall run with the land, so that fulfillment of the items listed below shall be binding upon future owners
of the property.
Action: That the street tree in front of 281 Fourth Street will be watered according to the attached maintenance
schedule. If the tree does not survive it shall be replaced within a 6 month period. The replacement street tree shall be
chosen from the adopted Street Tree List and shall be installed in accordance with the specifications noted in Section
E of the Site Design and Use Standards. The replacement tree shall be watered according to the attached
maintenance schedule or will be irrigated.

RE: Street tree planted at 28 I Fourth Street
The following is the maintenance schedule, per your request, for the Paperbark Maple
(Acer Griseum) planted at 281 Fourth Street in Ashland, Oregon
. Weekly - Water deeply (approximately 20 gallons) during growing season (April
through Octoer). Water should be applied slowly so that it can percolate into the
tree well.
. November, 2009 - Leaves will have fallen and natural rainfall should keep roots
moist over winter
· April, 2010 through March, 2011- Follow above schedule.
· April, 2011 through April, 2014 - Roots should be deep enough to allow monthly
rather than weekly watering.
Exception: It will be essential to water weekly during any month that
temperatures soar to 100 degrees or more during this 5 year period.
· After 5 years, tree roots will be well established - monthly waterings will be
sufficient.
· Guarantee: If tree exhibits signs of stress and dies within 2 years from date of
planting (April 23, 20 II), Loftus Landscaping will replace it free of charge.
