Present: Mayor Wiley, ~/la.~ArU Councilmen Applewhite, Blake", HaDsan, Koozer. Absent. Councilmen ~.~.f, Ingle. The purpose of the meet~g was to hear objections if e:ny agains't the construction of tlllle new sewer district, Nell. 39. for that portion of land bounding on Idaho Street between Holly and Iowa Streets. A may showing the proposed sewer district was exhibited and upon motion by Koozer, seconded by Applewhite, was approved. Following a brief discussion, it was moved by Applewhite and seconded by Bl~e that the City proceed to construct the sewer. Carried. I The sale of City property on the Boulevard to V. L. Jean andthe issuance of a build- ing permit for an auto court YlaS discussed but deferred for further investigatdon con- cerning the class of buildings to be erected. Upon motion by Craildall, seconded by Hans en, the Mayor was asked to appoint a com- mittee to draft an ordinance on building and inspection codes. Carried. Thereupon the Mayor appointed the following: Applewhite, chairman, E. O. Smith, C. J. Baughman, F. iI. Van Dyke, E. C. Biegel. A petition presented by property owners for the City to open an alley adjoining their property from Palm Avenue to Iowa Street was read and re ferred to the City Super- intendent for investigation.
