Mayor Wiley, Counoilmen Applewhite, Blale. Crandall. Hansen. Ingle, Koozer. Absent. none. The purpose of the meeting was to hear objections to the paving of streets for which notioes of intention to pave had been published. The ohief objector to the paving of Alida street was T. B. Goshell who was very much' oppol!ed to having.it done, while C. J. Sandford, G. R. Wenner aDd Mrs. Mae Davis spoke in favor of it. There were no objectors present againstethe paving of Morton, Beaoh and Nob Hill Streets and following some discussion, it was moved by Ingle that :!;he City prooeed with the paving, contingent upon the opinion of the County Engineer as to the feasibility of putting in pavement withouil'ourb and gutter. Seconded by CrSlll- dall and following a unanimous roll call was carrie~ G. H. Wenner, ,W. H. Leverette and-.Fred Tayler spoke favoring having the City ap- propriate $200.00 for the entertainment of the Shaata-Cascade Wonderland convention whioh waa to meet in Ashland in the near future. It was finally deoided that the City would try to work out a way to contribute $100.00 if the County would do likewise. Dr. Inskeep of Medford addressed the oounoil on the oubjeot of garba~e disposal which was ver7 interesting and brought out considerable discussion. .
