Presentl Mayor Wiley, Counoilmen Blake, ApplEiwhite, Hansen, Ingle. Absent: Counoil.Jren Crandall, Koozer. The purpose of the meeting was to oonsider abjeotions to thebudget if any, but 1:here being no objeotions, it ms moved by Ingle andseoonded.by Applewhite1:hat the budget as published be approved. Carried. The proposed ordinance lelling a tax for the year 1939 in the S1.ll1l of $49,706.00 "Wll.S 1:han read and it was moved by Blake and seconded by Applewhite that the ordinance be passed to the second reading by title only, trn.rules being suspended. Carried. Fol- lowing the seoond reading by title, it was moved by Applewhite and seoonded by Hansen that the ordinance be adopted as/f read. Roll oall was ordered on the adoption, the vote being, Ayes: Blake, Ingle. Hansen. A~lewhite. Nays. None. Thereupon the Mayor declared City Ordinance No. 989 adopted. A proposed ordinance requiring the Recorder to notit'y the County Assessor and County Clerk of all delinquent speoial benefit assessments and docketed city liens WliS next read and it was moved by Ingle and seoonded by Blake that ~~ rules be suspended and the ordinance be passed to the second reading by title only?'F'ihtlowing the second reading, it was moved by Blake and seoonded by Hansen that the ordinance be adopted as read. Roll call was ordered on its adoption, the vote being Ayes I Blake. Ingle, Hansen, Applewhite. Nays: None. Thereupon the M~or declared City Ordin~ce No. 990 adopted. The purcmse of lots 15 and16 of Block ilL" of Railroad Addition by the city from the county was considered andin order to prevent the, moving in of cabins and other inferior buildings onto lots in the oity, it was dec~ded to eXl/roise its option and o buy these lots for $60.00. Motion was _de by Ingle, seconded oy Blake and following a unanimous roll call it ....as approved. On motion, the oounoil adjourned to meet at the oall of the Mayor. Attest: (Signed) J. Q.
