The Council met in adjourned session at 5.00 P. M. this date. Present. Mayor Wiley,
Councilmen Applewhite, Carson, Crandall, Delsman, Koozer, Tayler. Absent: None
The City Attorney read the proposed agreement between the City of Ashland and
WIn Ross and Sons for the exclusive franohise of operating the city garbage service for
a period of three years and considerable discussion followed. Upon motion by Crandall,
seconded by'Koozer, the City Health Officer and Chief o~ Po~~e were designated to
arbitrate disputes whioh might arise under the.franchi~~rrTn1s point being settled,
Oft was inoved by Koozer that the rules be suspended and the ordinanoe be passed to the
second reading by title only. Seconded by Appl~[hite. Carried. Following the second
reading, it was moved by Applewhite that the ordinance be adopted as read. Seconded
by Crandall. Roll call was ordered on its adoption, the vote being, Ayes; Tayler,
Delsman, Crandall, Carson, Koozer, Appelwhite. Nays: None. Thereupon the Mayor declared
City Ordinance No. 992adopted.
On motion, the council adjourned to meet at the call of 'the mayor.
