M. this date' Present: Counoilmen Apple-.mite, Crandall, Delsman, J;ayler. Absent: Mayor Wiley, Councilmen Carson, Koozer. Applevrhite presiding as ~ayor. V. D. Mi.ller presented the su~gestion of getting support for a new Post Office by approving the oontribution by the Chamneruof Commerce of $100 to Howard Latourette Il.-"ld Frank Tiern/3Y, members of the DeInOctaric entral Com- mittee, to defray part of their expenses to "ashington, D. C. Following discussion, it was moved by Crandall' and seoonded by Delsman that the reoommendation of 1i'le Chamber of Commeroe that it spend $100.00 for purpose of assisting in defraying of expenses of Tierney end Latourette on trip to "ashington to interview postal authorities in inter- est of nffiV Ashland Post Office building be approved. The Council met in adjourned session at 5.00 P. M. this date, Present: Mayor Wiley, Counoilmen Applevrl1ite, Crandall, Delsman, fayler. Absentl Councilmen Carson, Koozer. The purpose of the meeting was to get the construction of sewers Iimder way. It was move~ by Applewhite and seconded by Delsmen that it was expedient to construct sewers on f/W#tIi Helman and Emermck streets and that the City Recorder be instructed to publish "Notice of Intent to Construct S~er." Carried. The necessity of repairing curbs eta being aparent, it was moved by J;ayler that it was expedient to repair :curbs and sidewalks etc and notices of "Intent.to'repair curbs and sidewalks"be published. Carried.(2nd by App- lewhite) The oorrection of a seepage problem on Pioneer Avenue and adjacent property was referred to the City Sup' t and City Attorney to cheok property owners as to this oondition and their attitude toward it, upon motion by Applewhite, seoonded by Crandall and carried.
