The Council met in adjourned session at 5:00 P. M. this date. Present: Mayor Wiley, I
Councilmen Applewhite, Crandall, Delsman. Koozer. Tayler. Absent: Councilman Carson.
The purpose of the meeting was to listen to objections against the construction I
of a curb and gutter on Alida Street bewteen East Main and Si1Skiyou Boulevard.
. There being no objectors present, a resolution authorizmng the construction was
read the first time. It was moved by Applewhite abd seconded by Delsman that the rules
be suspended and the resolution be passed to the second reading by title only. Carried.
Following the second readinl9l1 it was moved by Tayler and seconded by Keozer that the
resolution be adopted as read. Roll call was ordered,on the motion and following a
unanimous roll call, the Mayor declared the resolwtion adopted.
The repair of curbs lind gutters in various part's of the City was discussed and it
was moved by Koozer that "Intention to repair curbs and gutters" be published. Seconded
and carried. ,
The laying of 380 feet of tile along Oak Street for which a petition had been read
at the Feb. 20th meeting was discussed further and it was decided tlmt the City
Attorney write Mr. D. S. ~owell. who had sponsered the petition, as to the reasons why
O the City of Ashland objected to doing this work at citybexpens~.
On motion, the coumril adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor.
