Mayor Wiley, Councilmen Applewhite, Carson, Crandall, Delsman, Keozer, Tayler. Absent. None A proposed resolution authorizing the release of tax lien of the C11:y of Ashland on certain premises being purchased by 1:he City was read and it was moved by Apple- ,'mite tha1: the rules be suspended and the reeolu1:ion passed to the se<lond reading by title only. Seconded by Deslman. Carried. Follcwing the second reading, it was moved by Tayler and seoonded by Koozer that the resolution be adopted as read and following a U1l8Jlimous roll call, the Mayor declared the reeolution adop1:ed. The peti1:ion on a restricted distric1: was reported on by Carson. Bills amoun1:ing to $7,434.46 were read as to "to1;al amount only, same having been oked by the various departments, oomml. ttecs and finance colllUlittee and were ordered paid. A pe1:1tion concerning the oilinf; cf a portion of Soenic Drive was read and refer-I ed to the City Sup.t upon llJOtion by tayler, seconded by Carson and carried. The City Attorney reported on the recent meeting with the State Highway Colll!lli~eion. CO\mci.lman Dehman having been called "to active duty as a Captain of Coas1: Artill- ery since Sep't 16th offered his resigna1:ion as a member of the Council. Upon mo1:ion by Crandall, seconded by Koozer, the resignation was reluc1:antly accepted and a vote of thanks tendered Mr. Del~n. Carried.
