Crandall, Koozer, Woodell and later Tayler. 1 Mr. R. B. Newbern. presllodent of the Gas-!"e Corporation. Seattle. Wash. met wit.'> the Council to ask for an extension for 90 days of that portion of the lease which re- quired the leasee "to make a payment of $500.00 to the City. since he had only reoently taken over the Burnham lease and did not have the time to make the neoessary tests to ~ satsity himself that the gas was sufficient in quantity and quality(dry) to establish a plant. Following a long discussion, it was agreed to extend this portion of the lense the City Attorney read a proposed resolution authorizing this extension. It was moved b~ Koozer andseconded by Applewhite that the rules be suspended andthe resolution passed to the secomd reading by title only. Carried. Following the seoond rending, it was moved by Crandall and seconded by Woodell that the resolution be adopted as read, and follow- inga unanimous roll call, the Mayor declared the resolution adopted as read.
