The C~uncil met in ad~ourned session at 6:00 P. M. this date. Present. Mayor .
Wiley, Councilmen Koozer, 'ayler. Woodell. Absent I Councilmen Applewhite, Crandall.
Daugherty.
The purpose of the meeting was t!> listen to J.lr. Wm 11. BriUW in oharge of the
Ashland campaign for raising funds for the United Servuce Organizations' reoreational
program for national defense. He explained the plan and stated that Jnokson County's
share was $1600.00, of whioh $600.00 had been allocated to Ashland. He asked thw City
"to appropriate $200.00. After some disoussion, it was moved by Koozer and seocnded by
Woodell that $100.00 be appropriated from the Electric Fund for this purpose. Carried.
On motion, the Council adjourned to meet a t the call of the lltayora
