The Council met at ~ (3:00P. M. ~f~)1fn adjourned session at
the offioe of the City Attorney. Present: Acting Mayor Redford, Councilmen Daugher~J,
Fisohborn, Merrill. Absent: Mayor Wiley, Counoilmen Nosler, Weitzel.
Representatives of the following bidders were present:
Fred J. Early Jr. Co. Ino. San. Franoisco, Cal. 369 Pine Street
Pacific Bridge Company, San Francisoo, Cal. 333 Kearney Street
Carl M. Halverson, Ino., Portland, Oregon 218 Bldgs. Exch. Bldg.
Previous to considering the bids, the members of the Counoil met with the City
Attorney and Mr. Harvey, Consulting Engineer in the inner offioe for a conference.
Follmnng the conferenoe, in view of the limited number of bids and the fact that those
1 who had bids, intima!;ed that their bid price would be more than the amount of the bond
issue, it was decided to return unopened all of the bids received and to re-advertise
for'more bids to be called for on July 12th at 2:00 P. M. (Day-Light Savings time)
On motion, the Counoil adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor:
