I am a League of American Bicyclist Certified Bicycle Safety Instructor #1920. I've been trained as a bicycle safety instructor with both the Bicycle Transportation Alliance and the Rogue Valley Transportation Distric. I've attended numerous bicycle and pedestrian conferences/workshops including: The Car Free Cities Conference. Safe Routes to School. BT A annual training. etc. 2. Related Experience What prior work experience have you had that would help you if you were appointed to this position? I'm currently working at the Commuter Resource Center at Southern Oregon University and am working with Danielle Mancuso on transportation issues on campus. Until I decided to go back to school last September. I held the position of Transportation Options Coordinator with the Rogue Valley Transportation District. I've co-facilitated both Bicycle Transportation Alliance bike safety courses in Ashland and Eugene and Bicycle Streets Smarts classes through Ashland Parks and Recreation. I've also facilitated bicycle maintenance and after-school classes at the City of Eugene River House Outdoor Program. Do you feel it would be advantageous for you to have further training in this field, such as attending conferences or seminars? Why? Yes it would helpful to attend further trainings in this field so that we can be an updated and informed Transportation Commission that has access to new and improved information. 3. Interests Why are you applying for this position? I'm a walk and bike advocate who would like to see more collaboration between SOU and the City of Ashland concerning transportation issues in our community. 4.
