Biography of Alan B. Oppenheimer
Alan B. Oppenheimer, president and founder of Open Door Networks, Inc, graduated from Ml.T. and then worlted for Apple Computer from
1983 to 1994, helping to design the Macintosh's AppleTalk network system and implementing such products as the LaserWriter printer,
AppleShare file server, Apple Internet Router and Apple Remote Access.
Alan founded Open Door Networks in 1995. Open Door is a Apple-focused lotcmet oompany, initially focusing on server and Internet
security software. Under Alan's direction, Open Door shipped the first c:ommerciaI Macintosh firewall, and cnrrendy ships over 100 iPhone
apps and the top-10 iPad reference app Art Authority. Open Door also served as an Internet service provider from 1995 through 2009.
