ORDINANCE NO .
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF UNION STREET
IN THE CITY OF ASHLAND AND RESERVING AN EASEMENT
THEREIN IN FAVOR OF THE CIT7 OF ASHLAND.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITw OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1 . That it is hereby determined that the public int-
erest be best served by the vacation of Union Street
between Auburn Street and Iowa Street, subiect however, to the
reservation in -the City of Ashland of an easement in said street
for the installation and maintenance of any and all utilities
and including Cable T.V. said easement to be perpetual in nature .
The foregoing ordinance was first read on the 16th
day of August , 1983 , and duly PASSED and ADOPTED thi's °Z3�ay
of August 1983 .

UNION STREET VACATION
Description of Vacation .
All that portion of Union Street lying southerly of the
Southerly right of way of Auburn Street as presently monu-
mented, situated in the Highland Park Tract in the City of
Ashland , Jackson County , Oregon , abutting lots 27 and 28
according to the official plat thereof filed for record on
the 23rd day of M ay .1888 .
Reserving therefrom an easement for the perpetual maint-
enance of all existing utility lines and facilities
currently in place within the above described portion of
Union Street .
ALSO RESERVING THEREFROM an easement for public utilities
being 15 feet in width and lying 7 . 50 feet on each side
of the centerline at the above described portion of
Union Street .
