AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND ANNEXING A CONTIGUOUS AREA TO
THE CITY OF ASHLAND, OREGON, AND PROVIDING FOR All EFFECTIVE DATE.
(Shapiro Annexation)
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1 . The following land is contiguous to the City of Ashland and is
ocate T in Jackson County, Oregon, and is hereby annexed to the City of Ash-
land as provided in Section 2 of this Ordinance, and described as follows :
Commencing at the quarter section corner common. to Sections 11 and 14, Township
39 South, Range 1 East of the Willamette Base and Meridian, Jackson County,
Oregon; thence North 89°54'06" West along the section line common to said
sections, 674.53 feet to the intersection with the centerline of Tolman Creel.
Road, as said road has been resurveyed and monumented; thence leaving said
section line, North 00°04'09" East along the centerline of said road as hereto-
fore set forth, 1325.05 feet; thence leaving said centerline, North 89°09' 19"
West, 30.00 feet to a 5/8 x 30 inch iron pin situated in the Westerly right
of way of Tolman Creek Road for the True Point of Beginning; thence continuing
North 89°09' 19" West, 289.69 feet to a 5/8 x 30 inch iron pin; thence
South 05 054'53" West, 3.10 feet to a found 5/8 inch iron pin situated at .
the North-Northeast corner of that tract or parcel of land as set forth in
City of Ashland Ordinance No. 2109; thence North 89'31".33" West along the
present city limits line, as set forth in the hereinabove referred to ordinance,
340.84 feet to a found 5/8 inch iron pin; thence leaving said city limits line,
North 00 007'22" East, 448.44 feet to a found 3/4 inch iron pipe; thence
South 89 028'54" East, 249.88 feet to a found 112 inch galvanized iron pipe;
thence continuing South 89 028'54" East, 380.53 feet to a 5/8 x 30 inch iron
pin situated in the Westerly right of way of Tolman Creel: Road, as said road
has been resurveyed and shown on Recorded Survey No. 5613; thence South 00°04 '09"
West along said Westerly- right of way, 446. 74 feet to the point of beginning.
Containing 6.474 Acres, more or less.
Subject to any and/or easements and/or rights of way of record and those
apparent on the land.
SECTION '2 . Upon the effective date of this Ordinance , the City Recorder ,
in ar ccoorrTwith ORS 222 . 170 , is hereby authorized and directed to make and
submit to the Secretary of the State of Oregon, a copy of this Ordinance ,
a copy of the Statement of Consent from the landowners of the tract annexed,
and a copy of the Ordinance disnensing with the election on the 13roposed
annexation, and also upon the effective date hereof , the City Recorder is
authorized and directed to submit a copy of this Ordinance to the County
Assessor and County Surveyor of Jackson County, Oregon.
The foregoing ordinance was first read on the 7th day of February , 1934 ,
and duly PASSED and ADOPTED this 21st day of February , 1984.
