AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9 . 08 . 170
OF THE ASHLAND MUNICIPAL CODE WITH RESPECT
TO NOISE PERMITS.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1 . Section 17 of Ordinance No . 1559 and subsection 11
of-Section 9 .08. 170 of the Ashland Municipal Code shall be
amended by amending the second sentence thereof to read as
follows :
"However , upon application to the City Administrator
and a report from the Chief of Police, the City Admin-
istrator may grant permits to responsible persons or
organizations for the broadcast or amplification of
programs of music, news , speeches , or general enter-
tainment as a part of a national , state or city event ,
public festivals , or special events of a noncommercial
nature . If the City Administrator disapproves such a
permit, the matter may be appealed to the City Council
whose decision shall be final . "
The foregoing ordinance was first read on the laZ day of
1984, and duly PASSED and ADOPTED this day of
