An ordinance vacating portions of Ashland Street, Madrone Street, Wisconsin Street and Stadium Street in the City of Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon, and requiring the City Recorder to certify a copy of this ordinance to the County Clerk, County Engineer and County Assessor. WHEREAS, by petition signed by the sole adjoining property owner, Southern Oregon College, it has been requested that the City of Ashland vacate the hereinafter described portions of Ashland Street, Madrone Street, Wisconsin Street and Stadium Street, and WHEREAS, said portions of streets are all within the bound- aries of Southern Oregon College, and WHEREAS, due notice of said vacation has been given in the manner and form required by law, and the Common Council having conducted a hearing thereon, and it appearing to the Common Council that the public convenience and welfare will be served thereby and that this vacation is in the public interest, NOW, THEREFORE, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN- AS FOLLOWS: ' Section 1 . That those portions of Ashland Street, Madrone Street, Wisconsin Street and Stadium Street described as follows, to-wit: Ashland Street from the east side of Palm Avenue to a point 150 feet east of the east side of Palm Avenue. Madrone Street from the east side of Indiana Street to a point 143 feet east of the east side of Indiana Street. Wisconsin Street from the east line of an alley commonly known as Hospital Drive to a point 300 feet east of the east side of said alley. Stadium Street from the south line of Webster Street to a point 279.8 feet south of the south line of Webster Street. -1- be, and the same hereby are, vacated; RESERVING, however, per- petual rights of way for any existing utilities located on the above described property with the right of ingress and egress for the purpose of maintenance and repair. Section 2. That by this vacation the City of Ashland does hereby convey to Southern Oregon College all its right, title and interest in and to the above described portions of streets . Section. 3. That the City Recorder is hereby directed to deliver a certified copy of said ordinance to the County Clerk, County Engineer and County Assessor of . Jackson County, Oregon.
